Both three expressions above provide the same meaning of ‘If I were you’ in Spanish.
Now, let’s go for examples.
Si To Fuera Tú
- Spanish: Si yo fuera tú, estudiaría más para el examen.
- English: If I were you, I would study more for the exam.
–
Yo Que Tú
- Spanish: Yo que tú, le contaría la verdad.
- English: If I were you, I would tell him the truth.
–
En Tu Lugar
- Spanish: En tu lugar, hablaría con el jefe sobre el problema.
- English: If I were you, I would talk to the boss about the issue.
The exact translation is, ‘If I were in your place’. But it means if I were you in Spanish.
